Campground is located 7 miles southeast of Santa
Fe in the foothills of the Sangre de
Cristo Mountains. We are on historic Route 66 (pre-1937),
adjacent to the historic Santa Fe Trail, and just a few scenic minutes
from the Old
Town
and Plaza. No city noise, no traffic, great sunsets and star-filled
nights!
Note that some Internet
map services like Mapquest, Yahoo!, and Google may show us
incorrectly near I-25 exit 284. We are actually near exit 290 -
see map below:
Interstate 25 from Albuquerque or Colorado: Exit #290 (U.S 285 south
to Cline's Corners and Eldorado). Go north 1/4 mile from offramp to the
blinking red light and the closed gas station. Turn right on service
road, NM 300 (Old Las
Vegas Highway), continue for 1 mile.
Campground is on left.
Interstate 40: Exit at
Cline's Corners to U.S.
285, go north for 40 miles. At Interstate 25 junction, continue under
I-25, do not get on I-25! Continue north 1/4 mile beyond the
underpass to the blinking red light and the closed gas station. Turn
right on service road, NM 300 (Old Las Vegas Highway), continue
for 1 mile. Campground is on left.
Heading south from Taos or Durango:
Take U.S. 285 south to Santa
Fe, where it becomes St. Francis Drive. Continue south
on St. Francis Drive all the way through Santa Fe to the Interstate 25
junction. Go north on Interstate 25 (towards Las Vegas, NM)
for eight miles to exit #290. Turn left (north) at the bottom of the
offramp, go north 1/4 mile to the blinking red light and the closed gas
station. Turn right on service road, NM 300 (Old Las Vegas Highway), continue
for 1 mile. Campground is on left.
